The short answer
Selling a Tesla needs four things sorted: the paperwork (V5C, ID, bank details, settlement letter), the car itself (keys, cables, covers, honest condition), your personal data (phone keys, saved addresses, factory reset), and two jobs afterwards — notifying DVLA and removing the car from your Tesla account.
- The V5C and any finance settlement letter cause the most delays
- A private plate transfer must start before collection is booked
- Removing the car from your Tesla account has no equivalent on a normal car
